Ipod while riding

To each his own

I see no problem with music while riding, I think SnoJo does it just so she THINKS - I think - she cant hear me, so I'll leave her alone, hehehehehe, :D:beer;

I'm with 2Fun on this. I bought the hubby and I each the mp3 players. After one ride, I decided it wasn't for me.....as did he.

Nothing against anyone that does use them. I like being able to hear what's going on in my surroundings, and yes, it's very easy to hear the radio if someone is paging or calling. You just keep the radio on high volume, and don't hide it away in a backpack or someplace else. The hubby keeps his in his handlebar bag.....and he hears me anytime I'm calling......and lots of times I'm not intentionally calling, but accidentally hitting the button (I'm moving mine to my handlebar bag now too). :confused: I don't know how many times I've had to stop to let him know that I'm ok and didn't need anything. :o :o

I listen while motorcycling, but have not enjoyed music while sledding. I got one of the Timex watches because they were on sale for $79 and my company gave me an almost good for nothing gift card @ Fred Meyers, That made the watch $29. It is awesome, but would not work with heavy gloves. I ride with mechanic or cheap atlas gloves and the controls work fine. I just don't care for tunes on my sled. Nano on a neck strap with headphones under a coat with a remote is perfect for me.

At my kids swim meet Saturday, no one knew I was cranking the volume or skipping tracks on my nano, they thought I was just playing with my watch:)

I ride with my IPOD on my sled and really enjoy it. I also use it while riding my Harley (does not work without a helmet). The comment of not hearing your buddy whom is stuck, well if you are not paying attention to your group well maybe you cannot multi task.

i tried using a ipod while riding last weekend and it was great. i only used it going up and down the trail.. i perfer the trottle noice when in the alpine. it is a nice change having music on the boring trail
