Ipod while riding

iPod Controller

the text is wrong on the web page. It will be fixed soon but the web guy hasn't changed it yet. This is what the text should say:

Features : This iPod remote allows you to change tracks, pause, play and adjust the volume. It is designed to be used with our iPod Controller ready jackets and jerseys. The remote control works with all dock-able iPods. It does not work with the iPod Shuffle. The iPod Controller is sold separately from the jacket

are you guys coming out with jerseys then?

Cool!! So they'll work with the nano now? I have the Shirken jacket (which i LOVE!) and it has the velcro patch for the controller and I was initally disappointed that it wouldn't work with my nano. Truthfully though....I rarely ride with music. I prefer the thumb noise too! ;)

I bought a Microsoft Zune loaded her up with tunes, then I went and left it at home . DuHHHHh
I don't like the ear phones that came with it.
So I Bought some speakers that you velcro to your helmet.(hope they work good)

Yep. We won't be able to have them done until late spring early summer though. We figured when someone invests the money for on of our speaker helmets, they will probably want to use it ear round instead of just the winter.

The jersey will be iPod compatible with our controller.

I rode one day with my music and realized that you are totally unaware of your surroundings when riding with music in your ears. I want to hear my buddies on the radio if they need help, want to hear the sounds of the mountains, want to hear my sled engine to ensure that it's running right, etc.

I love music probably more than most as I was raise with a father who was in a band and that was my life! But because of all the things I outlined, I won't ride with music again.

:) 2fun

Hmm, I don't even come remotely close to having that problem. It is very easy to adjust the volume so you can still hear your sled or pause to talk to riding buddies when it is on your sleeve. I guess you better not drive a car with the radio on or have the TV on at home for fear you might miss a phone call. Believe me, with the right equipment it is awesome. Just like anything else in life.

How can you hear if you buddies are on the radio needing help if your sled is running anyway?

I used to ride with music, but now my music is the sound of my sled.

X2 Good point

timex makes a watch that will control your ipod nano or classic wirelessly, thats what I am going to try out next. Just hit the pause button on the watch beats digging out the player from my pocket and hitting pause every time we stop.

Ha Awsome I think I will have to get one of those little controllers. I thought it would be weird riding with music - But I love it now. Usually I just ride with one earphone in so if I do need to talk to someone real quick I can. It really helps when your riding out at the end of the day, because it makes the bumpy trail when your exhausted seem a little more tolerable!!!! :)

So when your riding you can actully hear if your buddies are yelling at you or whatever? Because unless my sled is only idling, I never hear anything but my sled, maybe i'm different because i'm running pipes but I will for sure try out music :)
