Intro to Avalanche Safety Course

We had a few spots open up this morning due to life happening and stuff coming up for a few people. The course I'm speaking of will take place Friday, January 18 and Saturday the 19th and is intended for snowmobilers. Friday evening will consist of a 3 hour classroom session followed by a full day of on the snow training and education Saturday. The course is put on in a partnership between MOUNTAIN SKILLZ and the WOLF CREEK AVALANCHE SCHOOL. For an overview of the course, please visit the AVALANCHE SAFETY page on our website. I would also be interested if I could swing a few days off from work. Any idea about how long it would take me to get their from Steamboat Springs? Also, would their be lodging close by? I could probably find out tomorrow if I could get days off if that's not too late.

JAW, Wolf Creek is roughly 5 hours from Steamboat. There are 2 towns close by and we can get you discounted lodging in either one. My wife and I took this class on the 3rd and 4th of January and it was very helpful. Great to feel like we really know how to use the beacons, assess snow conditions, and dig someone out if necessary. We highly recommend.
