hey there fellow snowesters,

i was wondering if anyone had moved the intake from a BD turbo on an IQ chassis from behind the shock mount under the hood to the through the hood of the current pro ride sleds? pix would help as i am looking to do this for my sled.

thanks,

-B

Yep... Love it. Used a 90 degree elbow from the current filter location and went straight up through the hood. Slapped the prefilter back on and am very happy with the results.

heres some on my 06 RMK 900 Turbo i just finished, a little different then your RAW chassis but very similar anyways, hope it helps bud.

any concern that that prefilter material is choke'n off the turbo?

Not sure lol. Only got to ride it once after I finished it before I had to leave for Korea. But it's the same type that boondockers uses are their kits? Worth removing to compare tho for sure. It's far from being dialed in haha

That thing looks mean as he11! the 900 is a powerfull hunk of iron to, nice work dude

I finally plugged up my cold air intake last weekend. Looking to build something different. The way you have yours set up, is what I was thinking, except coming up behing the windshield.

A few people expressed concern that the prefilter would limit air flow. I know that set up is used by a ton of people. Its the simplest all around solution. Sometime take it off and get your sled to about engagement. Then put your hand over the tube. My sled feels like its going to suck your hand in.

I am assuming you have a 3071 on your sled. I dont remember the exact specs, but its moving somewhere around what 750-900 cfm? Thats like the vacum of a industrial size ShopVac.

Do they have good riding in Korea?

Yes sir its a 3071, I'm not sure on cfm either..

I'm a fireman in the airforce and got stationed here for a year, all I could bring is a mountain bike lol. But going to Anchorage Alaska after Korea for 3-5 yrs..and stoked!! ;)

Please dont take it, that I am knocking the set up. I just want to ensure that I am having my cake and eat it too. Whether its 3' of pow, or a 75* June day. My turbo sucks alot of air, and what to make sure it is free flowing.

BTW.... you ever decide to sell the beast. Please PM me...
