Intake noise

Anyone else notice fairly loud intake noise on the 5 gen vs 4 gen? Got out yesterday for first ride on my edge 154 non turbo. Switched with brothers gen4 and his seemed quieter.

Anyone else notice fairly loud intake noise on the 5 gen vs 4 gen? Got out yesterday for first ride on my edge 154 non turbo. Switched with brothers gen4 and his seemed quieter.

I think the G5 is quieter than the G4, between the new 4th motor mount, the extra insulation on the muffler area, and the revised clutch cover. Because of all that, I think you notice the intake noise more.

My G5 turbo seems about the same as my turbo G4’s, at least to me.

I noticed more intake noise on my G5 edge. The comment about everything else being quieter may have some merit but the intake is louder.

The intakes on my 2020 G4 were on the side and the G5s are on the top. Seems like that would make a difference too.
