Insurance in Colorado??

Who is everyone using for snowmobile insurance in colorado? Every company I have called wants an outrageous amount just for sled insurance. I use to have farm bureau when I lived in Nebraska and it was only 25 a month for an 09 xp 800. So who is everyone using out here??

I am using AllState. A little over $25 per month for two sleds and trailer. However, I just got notice of an increase due to my $2,500 repair last year. Hit a land mine up on Empire in Leadville that really warped the front end.

Sounds like I might check on State Farm based on BC Bob's input.

All state just doubled my rates due to the hail storm this past summer. Best part is I didnt have a claim

About $45 a month for two sleds + trailer !

Its time to start shopping

I got Farms which goes with Formost, Have all three sleds full coverage. it around 1200 a year, but I did have one total out sled claim. I also have injury of 25000 covered on each sled too.

Now my question is who insures sleds for the the full replacement value?? I have a turboed sled with about $18,000 into it and everyone I have talked to with only insure sleds for the bluebook value which is bullcrap. So if I total the sled I will only get less that half what I got into it or the same if it gets stolen? Seems pretty unfair to me. Anyone know of a company that insures for the full replacement value??? Thanks

I use State Farm as well but, I don't know what company will do full replacement value.

Good luck though. You make a valid point.

It's only that cheap because they found out you don't ride anymore scuba!!!

We pay around 1400 for two sleds, but we've had two totals in the last 3 years (the 07 sleds didn't fare well!)

My State Farm is for $9,800--full replacement value, and trailer.

Age (owner's) and HP may have something to doo with it.

state farm

$250 a year on a 08 XP

I think if you have the receipts for the more expensive aftermarket parts you can add them to the policy.....just need the proof of expense and insure it for the increased value?

Progressive does full blue book retail plus up to 3k in mods. Won't quite cover you on the full price of the turbo, but it's gonna get you close.

I have State Farm $250 for full coverage, 05 summit 1000, haven't needed to use it yet to see how good it is!

I have a question for you guys that have made claims, does the insurance company require you to produce the sled to them? Say your up on Machine gun ridge at Vail pass and some way or another your sled goes over the cornus. Now the sled is broken, in deep snow, so winter recovery is out and recovery in the summer is very difficult due to terrain. What happens now? Helicopter? Usually catastrophic failures don't happen right on a groomer, so you can easily tug it back with an '89 phazer.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks Alot Guys!!! I found a state farm agent in Thornton that will cover the full replacement value of my sled which is $18,000 and my two place enclosed trailer also. My premium is only $265 for the year. Hell of a deal if you ask me:D:D
