Insulating a trailer...can I insulate from the outside, taking the skin off?

Seems like a lot less work vs stripping the inside out? The only downfall I can think of is your vapor block would be on the outside of the frame, but not sure it that would really affect anything?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would think you would have more potential leaks in the future when you disturb the seal at doors, the roof and the lower valance. I also think you would be hard pressed to get every screw hole to line up just right again.

I have taken some panels off mine from the inside and I don't think it is all that complicated, just might need to have some new batten strips on hand to finish the job. My interior vinyl wrap stuff is coming off due to excess heat in the summer breaking down the glue so I have been peeling it off and repainting.

I debated whether to insulate. Ended up just getting a bigger heater. Yes it's using more fuel but it seemed to make sense for the time and money I was going to spend insulating. Might not be the best option for everyone but it worked for me.
Just my 2 cents...

I run a large heater. Ceiling is insulated but not the rest. If I'm on a trip there is only so much you can fix. Depending on parts availability and what got ruined. I can dry thing s out when I get home in the shop.
