Installing Tracks USA rail extensions...need some help

I've got a set of Tracks USA rail extensions for my '06 Switchback, to go from 144" to 151". The extensions didn't come with any installation instructions, so I am hoping someone here may have some experience with these extensions and can answer a question or two...

Each rail has a bracket attached to it that holds the track tension adjustment bolt (in the red circle in the image below). It looks like these brackets are attached with some sort of steel lugs that pass through both the rail and the bracket (from the inside of the rail). I assume these brackets need to be relocated to the rear pair of holes in the extension (approximately where the two red dots are in the image below), but I'm not sure how you're supposed to remove the brackets from the rail. Any thoughts on this? I'm not sure if you're supposed to drill out those lugs, or tap them out (or any other way?). I don't want to damage the rails while trying to remove the brackets.

There's a tab near the bottom of the extension that fits into a slot near the bottom of the rail (see the blue circle in the image below). There's a hole in that tab, but the hole doesn't line up with anything on the rail, and the supplied bolts, nuts and washers don't seem to be big enough that they would make much/any contact with the rail if I put a bolt through that hole, so I'm not sure what the purpose of that hole is. Am I supposed to put a bolt though that hole anyway?

Any advice on this (or any other part of the extension install) would be much appreciated! I've sent Tracks USA these questions as well. Thanks!!!

The easiest way I have found to get the 2 rivets out is to grind the heads off that face the inside of the rail and then knock them out with a 1/4 inch pin punch. When you move them back to the new holes, just bolt them back in place with 1/4 inch bolts. The other hole you have circled in blue is probably for another model and isn't used on yours. There should be another couple 1/4 inch holes in the extension that you will use as guides to drill new holes in your rails.
