removed back side of clutch via 6 screws, instructions say slide off rear sheave then remove spring. helix won't come apart . removed 3 screws on front but having trouble unscrewing center part has holes drilled in it seems to be pretty tight and hard to stop from turning, using large slip joint pliers to unscrew center piece. do not wan to screw things up. please help thank u jeff

Stop what you are doing now!!!!!

Woah....there killer...slow your roll before you hurt yourself!

The secondary spring is under tension and currently the only thing holding it in check is a chincy nylon adjuster.

You will need to compress the clutch. (if you dont have or wanna buy a special made tool, get a foot of all thread and couple nuts washers)

compress clutch, remove nylon adjuster, helix will then come off!

Got her done. Thank you for the help

My clutch had the large threaded center section, keeping the spring in place, used a press worked great.
