Installing Primary Clutch

I am sure the majority of you all know the answer to this question. I had my motor rebuilt over the summer and the person that rebuilt it took the primary clutch off for me because I did not have the tool. To get it back on, do I simply tighten the screw back into the crank and torque it down? Or do I need a special tool? What torque rating do I tighten to? Thank you.

Are you sure that number is correct? On my 2003 800 VES it was 45 ft. lbs.

Regardless isf it's 54 or 45 ( they are not the fussy and the extention you use will vary the torque) torque it run it and rev it some up and down, then retorque it.

I called my dealer about a week ago. but maybe the 02 & 03 are just a little diff?

actually that is not correct, the extension wont effect tourque value. i was told this by one of our trainers and didnt believe it til i used a tourque measureing device and its doesnt effect the tourque value

IF the tourque value is GREATER than the twist effect of the extension.. Long extension, low value tourque..
it would vary the tourque on the subject,
unless the twist is negated.
