installing new exhaust sensor question

I am installing a new sensor into the pipe of my 900 since these wires have been damaged on my old one.. The question I have is, does anything need to be put on the threads when this is put into the pipe? Like any sealant or teflon tape? or just thread it in and go? Just want to make sure I am doing it correctly.:beer;

Was your hood rubbing on the wires at the top of the sensor? If so take a heat gun to the plastic pc on the hood, heat it and slowly form it in so it no longer rubs. Basically putting in a form that should have been there from the factory so the hood isn't rubbing on the sensor.

I dont think that the hood was rubbing it, but not sure.. real good suggestion.. I bought the sled with the sensor like this and I have an extra so figured I would put it in, but I will check to see if that is what caused the problem.. Thanks
