Installed D&D 901 Kit on M8

2009 M8 installed the 901 D&D kit last month, D&D single pipe, V-Force 3 reeds, D&D air intake, Gill vents, boon docker box and air-fuel monitor. I only have 3 rides on it, first ride was so rich could not pull over 7400 rpm. Second ride cut boon dockers numbers in half that D&D had on there web site, ran way better and was actually over reving. Suppose to be 8000-8100, it was reving at 8300 rpm. When I got home checked the piston wash and the way the pistons look I'm still way to rich, top of piston is still clean. Third ride still trying to tune it and now revs at 8350 rpm, yes i have to do some major clutching to bring the rpm's down. What is more important to watch piston wash or spark plug color?

Post your numbers and Ill compare them to our 900 kit numbers. I don't know what D&D likes, but our kit runs best at around 7900 RPM.

At your elevation you should be able to pull a 40/36 helix with stock spring and around 75 grams of weight.

These are the numbers that we have worked down to, but the way the piston wash looks we are still way to rich. D&D kit says run between 8000-8100 rpm, just ordered up a D&D torsional kit and installing a 42/36 helix with a purple spring.

3000= 00 01 02
5000= 02 02 01
6700= 03 04 02
7300= 03 05 03
7800= 06 08 09
8250= 07 08 10
8700= 02 03 02

RACINSTATION what are the numbers your running in your kit??

It will be a bit different because D and D has custom numbers programmed into their box, which we can do...but I just stick with the base Boondocker settings.

3000 2 3 2 0
5000 1 1 2 0
6700 -1 -4 -3 0
7800 2 0 12 0
8100 2 9 12 0
