2009 M8 installed the 901 D&D kit last month, D&D single pipe, V-Force 3 reeds, D&D air intake, Gill vents, boon docker box and air-fuel monitor. I only have 3 rides on it, first ride was so rich could not pull over 7400 rpm. Second ride cut boon dockers numbers in half that D&D had on there web site, ran way better and was actually over reving. Suppose to be 8000-8100, it was reving at 8300 rpm. When I got home checked the piston wash and the way the pistons look I'm still way to rich, top of piston is still clean. Third ride still trying to tune it and now revs at 8350 rpm, yes i have to do some major clutching to bring the rpm's down. What is more important to watch piston wash or spark plug color?
