Hay guys, i have just installed the aaen pipe on my 2012 pro rmk 800. I have a video on youtube but am not shur how to post it hear.... so you can see it on youtube just type in 2012 polaris pro rmk 800 aaen pipe and it should be the first one. Will be able to try it out next week in the snowys, also will be swapping out with stock, will keep you guys posted thanks chris

That's the pipe I was leaning towards. Seemed to add the most torque, and at low rpm, as well as very similar hp #'s as the others..
Did you use the stock can? Aaen led me to believe a fuel controller was necessary, did you go with one?

pipe

thanks guys i am running the STOCK can. I have talked with the people at aaen a few diffrent time and thay said.... if you run the stock can and there pipe no fual controler is needed, but if you run both aaen pipe and can you do need a fual controler. so...... I am just using the pipe. watch the video i will try to get it posted on hear.

Just watched your video and, wow, not too impressed with those welds :face-icon-small-sho I would also have to think the non ceramic coated version is going to run hotter, and with the tight fitment, you may have some plastic melting problems. Keep us posted, not that I was going to buy one, just curious to see how it works for you. Good luck :mod:

Better figure out a block off or a heat shield for that PRO's nose cone. When a blast of snow hits that expansion chamber YOU WILL GET A WAVER that will have a dramatic affect on how your engine reacts. Going to guess it's also going to be suspect just with direct cold air flow but for sure actual snow will impact your results.

thanks f-bomb, did your track mod to the pro also looking forward to trying that out, thanks for the tip on the block off, i was wondering the same thing. also yes i will be putting heat tape on the plastics, will also be putting header wrap on the whole pipe thanks again chris

Thanks for the video, but I don't think I would have accepted anything with such poor welds. I would have sent it back. Maybe I'm just a picky bugger.

looks like the same welds i had on my SLP twins in my dragon. Just because a weld is preety doesn't mean it is strong.

weight

Mr. PurePolaris600
Did you get a chance to weigh the stock and Aaen pipes to verify if there was actually a 5 pound loss just for the pipe as it says on their website?

thanks for reminding me, I am leaving for wyoming today will be doing the pipe swap on monday, i will wieght pipes when i get back. Also should have vidios up by early next week thanks.

Wondering how the pipe worked out in the snow ? Was there a noticeable power increase ? Are you happy with it or would you have gone another route ? Thanx in advance for any info . Cheers :tea:

aaen

hay guys i will do a quick write out now, will do a better one later when i have more time. I totely loved the pipe road one day without it, then the next day threw it on, also installed a wideband o2 sensor in it, first thing i notice was hitting the rev limiter all the time, the day befor i was running 8050 all day long, so i threw more wieght at it, went from 62g bb to 64g bb at 8 to 10k feet. It brought the rpms down to about 8100 all i can say is wow it totely woke this 800 up, i do have the 13.6 power addiction head, and that really work it up, then throwing the pipe on. it is a handfull. thanks
