Trying to get 3" track back in to my sled. I had it on the side and got it do go till splined shaft was even with bearing on the inside but I can't get it to go any more. man is this thing tight.

Can I remove the QD side bearing just by removing retainer spring or is it pressed in?

Any other ways to get it done. I'm not excited about heating up and removing adhesive.

tried to rotate, but couldn't. Might need bigger muscles. :(

it is the 3" with center punched and 7 tooth drivers. Still think removing bearing on QD belt side would give me 3/8" more room, but can I get it back one once driver in?

bearing

Yes. You can remove the bearing. Track goes in pretty easy then pop bearing back in after. Might consider replacing bearing while you have it apart if the miles are up there. I have done this on my 13 pro with old 2 ply track and am now getting ready to do it again with the new x3

Any tricks to remove bearing and install new one?

Does this bearing look good or is the seal breaking?

bearing

IDK. How many miles. Do you have easy access to a bearing dealer or maybe if you are lucky a polaris dealer that has them in stock. I would do it now rather than later. Might look at doing the pto side bearing also. It is a lot harder to get that 3" track out than it is to ge a 2.5" off. I found a coupler for sucker rod (oil field parts) that was the perfect size but I have used sockets also to pop them out. Back in is alittle trickier with the splined shafrt sticking out there. Maybe a deep well socket. Not to expensive to buy individual sockets at napa or other stores just have to get your measurements before you go

I had the same issue, barely got the quickdrive side in the bearing and couldnt get it any farther. Put the bottom quickdrive sprocket on the little bit of shaft that should be sticking throuhg, stick the bolt in and tighten it, it pulls the shaft the rest of the way on with little to no effort. It took us about an hour of muscling to get no where, we then tried this and it took minutes and it was in.

I just used a socket to pop the bearing in the QD. I screwed with it for 30 mins before finally giving into removing the bearing, but it made life much easier. It was also easy to get back in place after you get the driveshaft in.

Thanks for the help. Removed the bearing. I don't like to beat on my stuff so after bearing didn't budge with a little pounding, I dumped hot water around it and it popped out easy. Then it was about a 2 minute job putting in driver.

Thanks again
