I voted for the cat, dont go any older tho 03 was the first year they fixed the aproach angle. if not I think I would go for the 7 rmk. they were great sleds and reliable. the 8 rmks had alot of crank woes. it seemed like borrowed time if you had more than3000 miles on them. Plus the cat will limit spending more money on it with the efi.
I have seen some good running yami 7s tho. just wasnt an option in the vote. julio

Ended up with a 2003 doo 800X and triton trailer for 1700 bucks not bad.

I would get the 03 700 RMK. Best chassis in those years, and the 700 was very reliable. 800 RMK would outperform it but barely....just be ready to do the crank.
