Injector test

Is there any way to test the injectors? With a volt meter or anything like that? Also heard of the wires at the injector breaking, how the hell do I get the short piece of wiring off the injector?!?! My sled is only running on one cylinder when cold and I think it starts firing on both as it warms up but bogs as soon as you put it under load.

Here's what I've checked:

Compression is good on both sides
Fuel pressure is good
Has spark on both sides
Checked the reeds and they're good
No cracks in the intake boots
Checked and reset tps
Tried different plugs

If it makes any difference, It has slp can, pipe and head, as well as the re-flashed ecu.

When its running on one If I pull the PTO side plug wire it continues to run the same which leads me to believe the PTO side injector is not firing. And if that's not it I'm completely out of ideas.. Also not the wiring as I have another wiring harness as a spare and tried it with no difference.

Anyone got any ideas??

I've experienced two different issues related to running on only one cylinder.

The first was associated with the coil plug where the wiring harness plugs in. One of the pins was pushed resulting in intermittent/no contact and therefore only one plug sparking. Once I found the problem, I simply reseated the pin and good to go; no issues since.

The second was associated with the MAG side injector wiring being broken. I isolated this one by confirming that I had spark but wasn't firing. I pulled the engine and inspected the wiring to find the break. I then cut the injector wire at the break (which was where the rubber connects to the injector itself), cut the rubber and peeled it back, soldered the wires back together, used heatshrink on the individual wires and then on both wires to the injector and followed up with a waterproof tape. Good to go with no issues since.

Hope this helps.

900 one cylinder

I have an 05 900 that had similar issues mine ended up being the stator. my local dealer threw parts at it like crazy, injectors, wiring harness, tps. nothing could be found. after 2 days of talking with Polaris factory they were told to change the stator and it worked. crazy thing is that the stator tested good.
good luck
