Indydan/EricW/SW'ers

I believe I uploaded some pics correctly in my profile so that those who wish, may see a little of the progress. It has been quite an adventure. But one I would do again. Thanks to all of SW.:)

Let us know if you need anything. We are headed to Puyallup tomarrow for the snow show and can pick stuff up there for ya.

I got the power valves and diaphrams and will be home friday night to put them in also did you get that can in place so you can start it up and find that team secondary??

Hey Ty:

That thing looks good. Almost thought I saw some smoke coming out. LOL. What a remarkable effort you are putting into ths project. I hope you are getting some pics along the way for your grand children to see what over coming and refusing to say uncle looks like. You are a great model to us all.

Thanks for sharing your courage and your story even as humbling as I know it is for you. Your efforts are inspiring folks way beyond your shop.

Keep us up on the progress. Have a good one. EW

SW project

No smoke out of it yet Eric, just bad cell phone pics 'til I get laptop back. It has the really good ones with my son. They arent so blurry. I was just trying to show that we hadn't come to a complete standstill. This is due to all of the help received from SW'ers. Just knowing about all the sacrifices and encouragement from you all, got this grumpy "ol fart up and moving. It has been a mental, along with a physical challenge that has done nothing but good for me,my family, and hopefully the snowmobiling community. If anyone knows how I can save all the pm's and original thread, besides printing on paper, I would appreciate the advice on that. I have, along with EricW,(his idea) decided after completion, I am going to empty the shelves and numerous boxes of extra parts to whomever is in need. I guess I will do an inventory and post in swapmeet. I would like to donate to those who are doing this kind of project first, but all are eligible. Thanks again to all and especially to my "new friends". You know who you are.

Can somebody update me on the story here? I'm assuming this has to do with the 800 contest that IndyDan put up awhile back on the forum?

See links. Yes, it was from the 800 contest. This is the best story of the year on SW IMO. For all the bashing and smack talk that is done here, it shows that people can really come together and help each other out to enjoy a sport that we all share a passion for.

Congrats Ty, looking good. Hope that she roars soon!!!!

Ahhhhhha! wth?

Well my friends, after really going at it last night with some help from local H.S. guys (thanks you lil farts) I fired up the 'ol girl! Everything is good except for a cooling issue. I removed t-stat and used grassdrag coolant changer to circulate coolant and remove any air pockets to no avail. She runs hard enough I am worried about it flipping upside down in the engine compartment! Woohoo! Anyhow, any advice on how to plumb it for correct coolant flow would be greatly appreciated. It is a 2004/5 800 ves engine in a 2000 Gen2 chassis.

Ty - You are inspiring us all; keep up the hard work.

You asked about question about saving your "PM's"......Look in the upper right of the Snowest window when you are logged in. It should say: "goinvertical"....right under that, it will say: Private Messages. Click on that to read and manage your PM's.....Keep me post on those parts we talked about. I still have that primary if you need it........
