Just thought I'd mention...

Shipped it to him last wed, got it back following Tuesday! Granted, I'm 4 hours away, but still very speedy turn around.

Clutch was brand new, yet it still looks way better! My belt clearance new was way off, not even worth measuring. Haven't measured yet, but it has for sure been corrected.

Return package was very carefully packed!

Nice to know my clutch is now in tip top condition and ready for some abuse :)

Mines on its way back from him.aswell!

Cant wait loking forward to reduced clutch temps

My .02

I also had my clutch and a couple of buddies clutches off our new pros sent in to him, 3 to 4 days later it was back to me again. Everything dan has ever done for me has worked flawlessly and been reliable. Thats all i could ever ask for in a product. I would stand by his work and put full faith in his recommendations on my sled! Thanks Dan!

P.S... to above^^^^^^
Take the time to torque the clutch the way the sheet says, I've usually torqued them down, and walked away. This year I followed the sheet and it took 4-5 re-torquings after running as the sheet says before the bolt stopped taking torque.

What sheet are you talking about?

Thanks

When i sent my clutch to dan it came back with a "installation guide" for lack of better words... Just ran through the process on the correct way to re-install the clutch. Dont remember exactly what it said right now, but it basically make sure pto end is clean and inner surface of clutch (with electronics cleaner) and torque to 70ft/lbs. Put sled on a stand and rev the motor a little, shut off and retorque to 70 ft/lbs again. Then take it for a quick ride, again, varying the throttle a little and retorque... Repeat until bolt doesnt take torque anymore.
i went on about 3 rides before it wouldnt take torque anymore

Ok, thanks, I wondered if you received some sheet with your sled that I didnt get. I did read the master repair manual and that's the way Polaris recommends the clutch should be torqued. I think that the taper on the crank end and the clutch taper are not the same angle.

Thanks
