Indy Dan Long Rod engine

Good to know, just hit 100 miles on mine and really like the way it runs. Dan says he is making a higher comp head but is way behind, hope to get one of his when ready.

So finally have some snow out here to test out the new motor/chassis.

I went with the PAR 12.5 domes (2200ft elevation), no DET. yet but i did have some race gas in the tank.

We have 3-4" snow in the fields so we did a ~15mile trip and it ran great.

This new chassis/motor sure feels nice compared to my twin piped 03 rmk.

Lighter and more responsive.

Engine ran 132F constant in the fields, very smooth and responsive power.

I am only seeing 8k rpm so i need to drop some weight (i think i have 67g in it now from what was in my 03 800, have to double check though).

Very happy so far, cannot wait for the mountains!!

Did you have dan service your clutch?

If not you should!

No, Carl's cycle had done the clutches prior to me buying this sled so I think it should be good. I do have a TIED secondary to put on one day.

So I checked it out and had 69.5g for 8-8100rpm, pulled 1.5g out. Hoping to try it out this weekend, along with my proxr :)

Glad to hear everyone is happy with Dan's motor, just going to pick mine up for my 12' Pro next week, let it snow!!

I have been dealing with powersports and shops for 20 plus yrs, I have never dealt with any company that is comparable to dealing with Dan. The most honest and nobody stands behind there work like he does, even if it wasnt his fault. He has my business an my family's for life.
If you read this thread Dan, thank you, Blaine.

Had Dan do my Big Bore and a few clutchs, best service i have ever dealt with. When he says he stands behind his work. He does it.

Thanks for the reveiws guys! Glad to hear everyone is pretty happy with Dan's long rod. I pulled the trigger on his LRTM this summer and patiently waiting for it to snow.

All the work that Dan has done for me has been top notch, on time and better packaged than a NASA part...

Far Far better than NASA! I've worked beside former NASA employees and all of them have been so substandard that the term Rocket Scientist is not a flattering title in my book, in fact it is a very small step up from a welfare recipient. Completely worthless, but at least my tax dollars were not providing for their livelyhood. But I digress...

I'll have two of Dan's LR CFI's on the snow this year, as well as a LR 797 factory race engine updated to the large reed HO cases. Should prove to be a fun year!

Keep posting gentlemen!

You will be amazed at how smooth the LRTM3 runs, I put mine in a couple a weeks ago and have done my heat soaks, unreal how nice they run!

Ride on!
