Incredible waste of time & money

Born Rafael Antonio Lozano Jr., Winter is single and has no kids. When he's not on the road working on software contract jobs, playing in Scrabble tournaments or visiting Starbucks, he lives with his parents in Houston, where he stores his collection of 10,000 super-hero comic books.

He changed his name because he didn't want his credit history confused with his father's. (His dad's credit history is fine, Winter says.) His mother, Georgina Lozano, says she and her husband refuse to call their son "Winter" and pray he will halt his Starbucks mission. "My husband and I feel it's a waste of time," she says.

Sounds like a winner.

Hey baby, anyone every tell you, you look better than a double latte skinny short with coco? Yha you might have heard of me, I'm famous, I've drank coffee at 9000 different Starbucks. Want a see my punch card collection? How about you and me go to my parents place? I'll let you hold my Super Friends original? Then maybe, if your really good, we can go out for a cup of coffee. :D

OK, I have to confess. I travel around the country on my bike just to get a t-shirt from various harley stores. Or ride to a place for their ribs. "Ride to eat, eat to ride." My name is Mike, and I'm a porkaholic.

i once flew from dallas up to oklahoma in my buddy's plane just for BBQ!!!!!

I can't imagine a hobby where you are completely obsessed, use all your spare time, spend way more money than you should, sacrifice in other areas of your life, travel great distances to pursue your passion, get ridiculed because others don't understand why you do what you do .... crap, that sounds a lot like me and snowmobiling.:D At least I don't live with my parents!

very well said. I am sure there are quite a few bosses, or employees (for the bosses) that would lump us in the same group as that guy.

I am just happy that he has a hobby and likes what he is doing. I thought that was the point of living in a free country?

Spending $1400 on a plane ride, or sleeping in your car just for a cup of coffee is not a hobby dewd.(But hey, I don't drink coffee...Am I missing something here?)
But, I guess to be fair..I spent about $4500 to spend 5 days going after Sailfish in Guatemala with fly rods:D. Still don't regret it.
& people that spend $400 or more a month to drive a new rig seems outrageous to me.. I guess priorities are different for all of us.

You just got busted NERD! Nice try! :p

I can honestly say, I've never bought a comic book.

I believe super friends was a cartoon, saturday morning, when I was 8. That's my exposure to it.

But I am a nerd, just a science nerd. I'm still trying to figure out how to build a fast than light engine, so I can get off this stupid rock.

Where at, I'm due for a ride. Is it still tornado season there. Do ya know what a divorce and a tornado have in common in Oklahoma?

You know someone is going to lose a trailer house. :D
