Increase RPM Stock Apex?

My friend bought a new stock Apex and does not want to spend any money on it or change it from stock.

He is only seeing 10,000 RPM what can I do to get him another 800 RPM?

Change the spring setting on the secondary?

Remember he does not want to spend any money.

I talked to the dealer and they said they sent the sled out with the high altitude set up but I have to wonder, we ride right up above their shop, at 8-10,000 feet.

Thanks for the help.

If the stock arms are not adjustable for weight then what should we figure for grams and RPM's?

For instance if we grind one gram off each arm how many RPM should we expect to gain for each gram from all three arms?

It is important for me to know if you mean per gram total or per gram off each arm.

So if I took one gram off each arm are you calling that one gram or three grams?

We want to get it right the first time. Even if we get in the 10,600 range it would be a big improvement.

Pull a weight out of the primary and see what you currently have then go from there, and yes they are adjustable by changing rivets.

I only get 9500 RPM and 40mph +/- track speed climbing. The feller I bought it from melted lead into each hole of the weights. I really need to fix that. IIRC Yammie leaves them all empty for 10000 ish feet.

Yup, drill out all the rivets and let her rip, they are a snap to put new ones back in....leave the secondary alone. Also if u want go to a 19 top gear...much better power
