In reference to the 1000. What are PODs

I am new to the skidoo. Just purchased a 05 1000. I have been reading a few threads but have not been able to figure out what are "PODS". I am sure it is something simple. I am just out of the lingo.

Some guys remove the airbox and install individual filters, or "pods" on each throttle body.

yea pods are like k&n cone filters
