In need of good job.

Hey guys I have been out of work for awhile now and money is getting realy tight I have been job hunting for the last month and a half and can't find anything I can afford to do by this I meen I have to make a decent amount of money because if I do go back to work the baby has to go to daycare $500 a month and I have to commute from wasilla to anch (100mi round trip). So I'm realy in need of some help even if you just have some work around the house or welding that needs to be done or better yet a line on a good job! Thanks in advance. BTW I am a constuction worker or sloper and I am on the C list with the laborers union.

I feel for you. I haven't been able to find a job yet since I moved down here, but luckily my fiance's salary can support us both with my unemployment. I'm hoping work will pick up soon, but you never know. I've heard some companies are hiring for the slope after the new years, but thats just talking, who knows if its even close to being true. It seems like all the slope jobs require a cdl, or previous experience up there. Not much for entry level positions. I assume you are looking at the ALexys job bank. Some jobs there, but not much. Anyway, good luck.

Ill actually second the guard thing...

I am a AIR guard member as well as a sloper. You will be hard pressed to find good people like the Guard. These guys are there for one reason alone...because they want to be.

If you're interested, just let one of us know. There are quite a few of us around...

I left foot prints in asphalt!

I got my start in aviation in the ANG, Kulis, as a jet engine mechanic when I was 22. It doesnt hurt to have military on your resume.
Just don't go to boot camp in the summer because it's in Texas. Trust me on that one.

Get online if you havent done so already and see if anything is up with the following companies:
Slumberger wire line services, CH2MHill, Acuren inspection, Nana, F.R. Bell Surveying, Steve Norton enterprises in Wasilla, Change your avatar handle as it really doesnt do much for job hunting, Cruz Construction in the Valley and the slope, go and actually get your CDL certification, Penco Inc, White Environmental, take a 40 asbestos abatement class, get the yellow pages out and go down the list for concrete and construction work and call everyone one of them. Good luck.
