In need of Electrical help!

07 M1000 starts up runs great but if you turn anything on, thumb warmer, handel bar warmer, high beam headlight, reverse, hit the brake, thats when it begins. Then the gauge goes dead headlight goes off, and engine idles down. No specific combination either. It does not die just drops down around 1300 rpm. You can work the throttle and it will rev up run just fine and guage will go through the same flashing and what not that it does when you start it up. It will also do this when it is sitting there ideling. Just looking for ideas where to start on trouble shooting this POS, any thoughts would be great.

Sounds like the stator is going bad, but also check the connection to your chassis control module for looseness, or corrosion. (it's the module mounted on your shock tower just forward the exhaust outlet) This module could also be defective.

Check the taillight wires. When I would hit my brake on my m7 my gauge would completely go out although the sled would keep running...not sure on the headlight. But anyways turns out the taillight wires were rubbed through right at the connector and shorting. Taped it up and good to go.
