IMS 3 gallon tank hits upper portion of TSS shock on WR450F

Just an FYI... I am putting a 2017 Timbersled RAW with TSS on my 2016 WR450F. I have an aftermarket 3 gallon IMS gas tank that hangs down around the upper rear shock mount area on the bike. When I try to attach the TSS shock to the Timbersled mount, the shock won't swing out far enough to make the mounting holes. The upper shock body hits the gas tank.

Has anyone ever installed their TSS shock upside down? This might give me the space I need. I don't know if the shock mount spacers will work if I switch them around? I haven't had time to take the tank off and see if I can make something else work. I might have to go back to the stock gas tank for the winter.

I can post a pic in a day or so if anyone is interested.

have same bike (2015), same fuel tank, with aro kit... have same bike (2012) with 2016 st kit, same fuel tank... both have tss strut.

2015 had to spin the shock to put the air fill valve 180 degrees different so the valve wouldn't hit the air box (stock non modified). 2012 has stock air box cut apart for timbersled intake, no issues.

I wonder if it is a raw kit, spacer issue. Ski

Great idea. I may try that!

To flip the TSS, spacers must be made. I did it so I could run the factory intake box.
