First Trip on my Nypex Stroker 1080 kit and Im recommending it to anyone thinking about the upgrade! I've had lots of Apex motors with different setups; compression, big boost, ported heads ect ect and this last week my eyes were opened with this stroker kit! Good job Impulse you've raised the bar again!

what were the benefits? i'm planning a full motor build and have really thinkin about the 1085 but moreso the 1150 setup, what benefits did you notice?

i've talked to paul a few times and i'm very excited to test out his motor setups, just curious on if the extra coin is really worth the gain, and how reliability will be.

well i sure hope the reliability is still there! All i can really say is I've turned the boost down 5lbs from last year and have wayyyyy more power! The track speed is unreal! Its very responsive and clean all the way through. Its totally worth the coin man! You wont be disappointed! I still have a grin on my face!

do you have the ported head and cams as well? how is the standalone working so far with the new motor?

Glad it ran well Jordan! I haven't posted anything yet on my 1080 build because of lack of snow/riding conditions here. That being said the set up is amazing. The throttle response is unmatched with anything I've ever rode. Considering the large turbo I'm using its pretty insane. With the few hills I've climbed it pulls like nothing I've been on. I'm stoked to ride it in the deep, cant wait.

A few pics w/ new sleeved block. Paul and I weighed the pistons and they are 30 grams less then a JE piston.

Congrats on the new ride Jordan, when are you going to post some pics? Just wondering with all the added power, what other changes need to be made to the sled to handle the additional power ex: clutches, gearing, bigger u-cooler?

thanks Dennis! Not much for changes, went up four grams in the supertips. Im geared at 21-40 and went back to a 2.5 track instead of the 3 inch.

What turbo are you guys running with these motors? Anyone trying the new GTX turbos?
Also curious was there a reason you guys went with the 1080 instead of the 1115?

Great would like to try the 1150 stroker kit,do you got a estemated price? Can a ask you the price on your engine mods, and delivery time?

The 1155 is $6000 in parts and Labor on top of that. The 1080 is $5700 for everything. I ordered mine July 1st and the crank just shown up two weeks ago so it takes a while.

2871R Hybrid turbo. I went with the 1080 because Paul had the fuel map already made and had one on the snow and it was working good. Didnt wanna take the risk i guess. I cant imagine wanting more power but im sure if the 1155 goes by me I'll be spending more money again lol

As soon as they get out we should have them on our Raptor, Nytro and Paul will have on the Apex. Going to need some bigger hills:face-icon-small-ton
