Impulse axys

Zeb this gonna be all the same setup as the Etec? GTX/Tial, Non intercooled with Paul's fuel box controlling extra injectors?

Install is coming along nicely.

This kit is very high quality! Welds are perfect. It replaces all the stock fuel lines with much higher quality stuff. Very well thought out and I expect this thing to rip. Can't wait!:p

Looks like you have to cut and weld the stock pipe? And the Tial exhaust outlet out the side plastic?

Just the BOV outlet, wonder why they didn't plumb it to exhaust below turbo as most is done.

They believe that the whole purpose of using a external gate is to dump the exhaust externally. Not to interfere with the exhaust stream by dumping back into the outlet. Some posts by zeb in different threads have explained this.

I know the whole theory of not dumping into exhaust. Could have found a better place to dump it than that though. Out the bottom by the main exhaust is how I have seen others done. No use hacking up the sled more than needs to be.

I wouldn't call one hole with a hole saw "hacking". Plenty of black snap in plugs or rubber plugs that can be used if the turbo was removed. Just like the one for the upper front shock bolt.

I would. Same reasons I don't like boondockers tunnel dump exhaust. It's nice when a sled can be returned to stock with the least effort possible. I like clean installs and a few of the companies out there do just that. I'm sure it's a good kit. Just wouldn't have been too hard to run a longer pipe.

The biggest advantage of the external is the ability to place it where you choose.
Which frees up some other advantages.

Having the wastegate down pipe pointed at the shock will cause some deposits on the shock (unburnt oil).

Be good to see exactly where that wastegate is mounted. Hard to tell with the wastegate in the way. If it's truly welded to the pipe or if it's not.

Bung is welded into the pipe and waste gate is held on by V band. Only top of the line components used by impulse. They modify your pipe and gusset it as well. I have one on my T3 and works great! Since they have come out with this kit I've kicked around the idea of an axys for next year

There is a reason the WG pipe is short. I see a kit that was built for one thing. TO RUN!!!

All the kits that are just bolt up are missing out on some of the basic principles. If I was going to go out in the shop and build s kit for myself, it would be just like this. Awesome job! I wouldn't change a thing. This kit will have the best throttle response and make the best power lb vs lb.

If it takes cutting my pipe and some plastic. Who cares, I would rather do that than give up performance.

Exactly!

If you want to boost your sled and then sell it as a "all stock" sled later you deserve to be smacked.

And if your SOOO passionate about making sure it's requires no "hacking" go beotch to Polaris about not making a factory boosted machine!!! Not the guys building AFTER MARKET KITS that they believe provide their customers with the best performance.

If you want silber buy silber. But don't for one second think that silber has got IT ALL Figured out. Just because it says " no modifications required" (except for sending your ECM all the way to Minnesota or where ever silber is located for a re flash) (Since that is in no way considered "inconvenient" like cutting a small hole).....

Wonder how much throw back bacon is getting for his die hard sales tactics???

Not getting any throwback you little punk. I've been modding sleds since you were in diapers. Having 20'000 posts doesn't make you an expert, just means you have way too much time on your hands. I've had sleds with welded together chaincases to get a drop and roll and holes cut in all over. I could care less if Silber would sell one kit. But I do know his stuff works, at least the ones I have ridden with. Impulse Is also just fine, but in this day and age a little extra thought and the kits can have a little less intrusiveness when installed. If I'm spending that kind of money why should it look like a back yard hack job. Ovs runs theirs out the bottom. I would think it wouldn't be hard.

They run it out the bottom on their Proclimb kit. Still looks like crap. How many extra holes are acceptable when non are needed. 98% of your posts on here have you being an antagonistic smart ***. Keep it up. You are very good at it. Not much for useful info though. Again, I am in no way saying the impulse kit does not work. Enough people I have talked to say they do. Just not a big fan of the cutting and welding.
