Improving XP side hilling ???

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I am looking at purchasing a new 600E-tech XP for my wife. We test rode one a couple times and I think the sled is a fantastic sled, but the side hilling is a chore, We are currently riding Polaris which come over very easy, I would like to get the XP close to the RAW chassis (Polaris) feel. When I rode the XP I felt it was great at down hill dive turns in the powder and OK on the up hill side hill turns but straight across a face was too much work, I feel it is a set-up issue and maybe the skis as well.
I just don't have the experiance with this chassis.

Please help with this if you have experiance on a good set-up, also has anyone run SLP powder pros on this machine.

Thanks a bunch.

I cut the outside of the ski about 3/4 of an in., It seemed to help alot but the best way is to go and play with an xp, once you find the sweet spot it will be easy.

I can cut a sidehill all day long. One of the reasons I like the chassis so much. Some people, it takes a few rides to learn the sled. Some guys hop on and get the hang of it right away.

Make sure the skis are in the narrowest position. Remove sway bar. Handlebars high enough, and forward enough. Should make all the difference that you are looking for. IF you need more, a 2 wheel kit, and remove the boogie wheels....

hey your use to the polaris it got that sweet spot to side hill on.
the xp has a different sweet spot you gotta use the stirups or be on the back boards it sidehill sweet but it has a learning curve but once your use to it your good to go.

the slps work good and I would take off the sway bar you can put on stiffer shock that help sidehilling

Do all of that except move the bars back and switch the skies. Put the right on left and left on right. HUGE improvement... you couldn't pay me to switch back. I can now lay it over with ease where before it took a lot of effort.

No your dealer just screwed up Shawn and put the skis on backwards from the beginning. :p:D:beer;

I have the skis narrow. Handlebar slighty moved backwards, shocks stiffened and swaybar is still there. Cuts a mean sidehill whenever you want. Expereince and getting used to the sled is key. It's all personal preference after that.

For a woman who weighs 100-lbs soaking wet, you'll want the shocks set to the lowest setting, especially the front shocks. Also, spend the $50 or so and get the quick disconnect sway bar kit. Huge improvement (Disconnected) when sidehilling and riding deep powder, and then when your on the trails, you won't (Connected) lose trail handling manners on the hard pack or groomed trail.

Yep, make everything soft. That way the "rolling" momentum of the sled will help her get it on edge. Just make sure she understands that!!!
