Just wondering if anyone has imported a mod sled with an aftermarket tunnel into Canada... What do you use for a serial #? And it would have no DOT decals either... Can they be exempt as a competition vehicle under the RIV program? Any info would be helpful...
thanks,

importing

I'm more worried about being hassled at the border.... I have imported vehicles before and as far as sleds go the RIV program is a joke; pretty much a cash grab.

I sold a modded viper with an aftermarket tunnel to sidsuz. I don't think he had any troubles at the border. There was some paperwork that we had to take care of in advance. I'm sure he'd answer your questions if you sent him an email. PM me and I'll give you his address

thanks,

all you do is take the original serial number to a trophy place that can etch or laser engrave onto a plate just bigger then the size of the serial number. take some double sided tape and put it on in the same position as the original vin number. done!! then it matches the title when you bring it across and that's it.
