importing sled from the US

Wondering if any body has imported a Sled from the USA that has had mods done to it (tunnel, suspension etc), and what else needed to be done to import it to Canada. Talked to to the RIV (register import Vehicles) and they said any modifications done to the frame, suspension, bumper etc is not able to be imported. Sled has had tunnel, suspension changed and not the original vin tag on it. Any help would be apreciated.

RIV won't let you import it, as the VIN can't be verified on the tunnel. I imported a sled without the compliance stickers and they had to get a letter from the manufacturer saying it was in compliance. I think you're SOL.

That's what I thought, but would see if there is any ways around it.
