Tell me why I should jump ship from Doo to Poo.

I totaled out my 2010 XP Everest 163. I'm going to rebuild my 2010, buy a new Etec, or a new RMK.

Why should I think about a new RMK over what I allready know in the Doo??

Brand loyal?

I would say that if you are not blinded by brand loyalty I would ride one and see what you think. Judging by your location I would guess you mostly ride in MT or WY? If you happen to ride in West Yellowstone rent a Pro for a day and see what you think. I am not saying they are perfect or bomb proof (I have had a few issues) but I think they are really fun to ride. This much I can promise you, the supposed 15-20 horsepower they are down from the other sleds is in no way noticeable. Don't buy into the dyno hype.

X2.
I can tell you that the HP is wrong when you ride it. My M7 has 140 HP and the Pro is alot stronger and jumps to the top faster. I have riden with an e-tec but have not steped on it. It is also a nice sled so ride them both then buy.

I have rode Doo's for the past 3-years and found it was very easy to jump on the PRO. I sold my 08XP and 09XP in October. I was leaning towards the Etec and last second bought the PRO. I was happy with what I was hearing, and thought I could get better service from my local Polaris Dealer.

So far I have been very happy. The DYNO hype is all true, this sled has plenty of power, and never have I thought that it didn't have enough.

Good luck in your decision!!! After owning the sled I have never regretted buying it.

""thought I could get better service from my local Polaris Dealer""

That right there is key IMO. What brand can you get the best service/warranty for in your locatation? That would be my first concern.

I'd assume you don't buy a Pro. I have a couple buddies that are looking for some units that are available and they don't want you to buy them first.

yeah, that might be what keeps me on a Doo. I hear the new Pro's are hard to come by right now. I have found a couple Etec's already, but cant seem to find a Poo, at least somthing that I dont have to travel 1000 miles for.

I hope this doesn't hurt anyones feelings but IMO, the E-tec is a much better engineered, designed, and built sled than the Pro is. The only thing the E-tec sucks at is that stinking TRA. The 163 E-tec is a beautiful running and handling machine. The Pro is definately a nice machine also and you couldn't go wrong with either but the overall build quality of the E-tec is better than the Pro.

Doesn't bother me. But what about the Pro don't you like in regards to build quality? I thought they stepped it up a little over the IQ.

I found myself in your shoes 4 weeks ago when I wrecked my 09 xp in west yellowstome. I came home and bought a assault 155. I love it. It works great here in MN and I'm looking forward to getting back out west this weekend. I installed a set of ZbroZ A-arms and a 155 2.5 camo X track.
It is the most fun sled I have ever riding.

There are quite a few pros/rmks/assaults starting to surface now around the area here if you know where to look but the kicker is most have about 100 miles or so and they still want list or more than list price, to me that doesn't make sense, but then again if I'm going to spend that kind of money I want it to be new and I want to break it in my self. Even saw a few adds of sleds where they will be making money on them. (that is compared to what my dad paid for his.). If I were you I would first ride them both feel them out and see how you like each one then search for the best dealer in your area that will give you the best service possible. Good luck.

**** dude it's winter, make a decision and go ride, got an xp, m series and pro in the garage, all mountain sleds, any one of them is better than sitting on this computer, go get one and go ride, oh and get a pro.

I say the Pro will take a hit better than an XP any day. My old IQ would take a hit better than an XP. I'd much rather change an a-arm than an S module or bulk head. I think thats a better quality to have. Your asking us why you should jump and you already answered your own question. How did you total your XP? I say buy a PRO, ride the sh&/ out of it,and dont look back. You wont regret it. I love mine!!!

I would agree you before I bought a PRO....but then I go and step on my wifes flimsey XP running boars, weak S and E module, Sad clutching, and 20LB stock muffler.

you cant go wrong with either one have rode both I like my pro alot better the only down fall to the xp is the pos TRA Clutch You would think with all there enginering quality they could produce a clutch some day but good for us poo guys

Cause you can be Poo Boy #2:D and we will let you ride with us if you jump branks... :face-icon-small-sho

seriously though, why dont you make a trip to cooke and rent one of each and see what you think?

I dont think you can go wrong with either one.

if you buy the pro you can be one of the cool kids!!! seriously i could have bought any sled and if i had to do it over again i'd buy 2 pros:) sled is a generation ahead of anything else out there on the pow, a pure pleasure to ride...

Ride one. That's all I can say. I've let a couple Doo owners take mine for a ride and both have said they would buy one tomorrow if they could sell their Scuds. I have one guy that rides with us quite a bit and he rides Doo. He won't ride my Pro because he know he will like it if he does and ignorance is bliss...as well as cheaper. :-)

These things are extremely hard to find. I searched all over Canada in classifieds and called a few random dealers but I did manage to find one in the end. Got a smokin deal too. Got it for 11 850 CAD so I bought the extra 2 year warranty. Cant wait to get it!
