I'm almost as dumb as Kevco!

I'm almost as dumb as Kevco when it comes to computers Can anyone help me fix my laptop????

So I was on facebook yesterday and clicked on a link and it took me to a spam site. tried to close out took me a sec but I got out. Then an hour later I came back to my laptop and the screen was black wouldn't wake up and wouldn't shut off. Rebooted it and I see all these ----- marks in my screen. Millions of them kinda in a pattern like a checker board but it wont boot up. Goes to the windows screen like its loading and then the screen looks like it tweaks for a sec then goes black. I then have to pull the battery to shut it off.

It will boot in safe mode and I ran the newest malware thing that was on my computer and it didnt find anything after almost 3 hours of scanning. Then I ran AVG 8.5 also the newest version on my computer and it did not find anything.

In safe mode everything seems to be there and ok. Can anyone help? Even if you know somewhere to take it. I googled laptop repair and only got pclaptops.

I know I seriously hate that place!! I only get on once a month or so and this time was only to look at pics of my new niece!! It was worth it she is freaken beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New babies make me melt!!! There is honestly nothing better!

Boot to safe mode with networking
download and install Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.org
After install check for malwarebytes updates.
Scan computer.

Just to be safe I also run Spybot Search & Destroy. I find Spybot will find problems that Malwarebytes doesn't and Malwarebytes finds things Spybot doesn't
Do the same thing as above.
Boot to safe mode with networking
Download and install Spybot . Spybot 1.6.2
Check for updates
Scan computer.

Reboot computer in standard windows mode.
Rescan again to make sure you got everything.

The newest version of AVG is 11, you should try and get that and run it also.

Yes, w/networking will let you online.

Sometime viruses/spyware will change your proxy server settings in Internet Explorer.

If Internet Explorer say page can't be displayed, While in Internet Explorer goto:

Tools
Internet Options
Connections (Tab)
Lan Settings
Under the "Proxy Server" section make sure "use a Proxy Server" is NOT checked.

The new malware fixed it on the quick scan!!! I'm going to update the avg and run the full scan on both malware then avg. 3 bad things 1 Trojan and 2 other things I didn't know something about a key.

uninstall 8.5 and go to avg's website and download the new free version of 11

Reboot in safe mode, go to start, accessories, system tool, then run the program system restore. You will want to pick a restore point from before you got the virus or whatever it is (such as yesterday or a week ago). This will not delete files, but will get rid of the bug. Then run AVG. Hope this helps if you havent already got this figured out. Also if you are using Internet Explorer, you might want to switch browsers because it was a lot of security flaws. Mozzila Firefox and Google Chrome are both great, I prefer Google Chrome because it is super fast. Sorry to geek out on you guys.
