My dealer checked my fuel pressure on my m1000 and it was 44lbs. He put a pressure regulator on for me and set it at 40lbs. I took it out and watched my egts and was still getting just 950 degrees on both cyclinders. So I rode it like that for awhile till the fuel was low enough in tank for me to make an adjustment. I set it at 38 lbs and then used my fuel controller to add fuel to my top end. I still got too much fuel on the bottom end but Ill wait till AC does a reflash on the ecu. Before I get anymore serious with it for now. The sled goes well enough for now.

Fuel Pressure Regulator for M sled

Aftermarketproducts has them in stock in Enumclaw. All M sleds need one regardless stock or mod. They go in the tank on the fuel pump a little cutting but not to bad. I have installed a ton of these with great results on 05 thru 09 models. A MUST !

Just a rookie here. Sounds to me like you really know your stuff. If you don't mind I could really use some advice on setting up my sled. 08 M1000 speedwerx pipe, y pipe, boondocker. I've been just riding stock sleds until now. I just got this pipe etc. put on by the Cat/performance shop here. They were supposed to know there stuff too. Not a clue how to set it up. Just looking for some advice or settings to start or where to get some.

Learn everthing about your Boony box. Know exactly how it works. Use Speedxerx settings to start. Verify what fuel pressure they test at and verify yours! Must use egts and establish safe wash and plugs on your motor. I can help you more if you need, pm me

Hey, thanks for the reply. got the egt installed but don't really know how to use it, other than i've got it set a 1100 to start flashing. Can't even get a hold of the speedwerx settings, not on website and I seem to get a hold of them as of yet. The instructions they send you have settings for everything but the 08 m1000's. they just say coming soon. That is why I took it in, I was going to put it one myself until I couldn't find any settings. and started reading to what all you guys had to say I got scared I was gonna blow it up tuning it. thanks

I have read the bd* manuals etc.* I have a pretty good idea how it all works. just not the tuning it using the egts
