If you have an XP I'd try to get Insurance on it!

Insurance or not. you may have to wait a while as my buddy's ride is sitting at bow cycle with half the parts to fix that same problem on back order until who knows when

That's probably becuz there are only two guys that work there that know anything, and neither of them work at the parts counter.........

I would check with Mr.R's in Lomond or another dealer in interior BC. I tried to order springs there once, kid at the counter couldn't find what I was looking for. Finally I made him go talk to the head mechanic in the back who showed him the race manual and Voila!, there was a whole page of springs for my sled. They're uninformed becuz they're more concerned about selling crotch rockets and quads than sleds and the staff just don't care. You can go today and buy a steering damper for your street bike, but good luck getting a snowmobile part in the middle of winter. Call another dealer. Just my opinion.

I agree. Bow cycle and blackfoot are not the places to go for parts people who know anything but street bikes. The kid at blackfoot couldn't even read the parts fiche for my Kodiak quads and sold me one wheel bearing for each front wheel when they take two (had no idea you should get new seals at the same time) and I asked a friend to pick up heavy load rear springs for my summit at riverside in St.Albert and they ended up the same as stock.
Bow's where he bought it so that's where he took it to get fixed. I know motor-tech in golden got a buddies sled in to weld the weak spot in the shaft BEFORE anything happened to it. I doubt bow has any ideas like that.
