Actually, I didn't have to read it. It was a HUGE controversy. If you lived in the US you would have known this. It was on EVERY channel. It happened right after the huge rally by the criminals demanding amnesty and the right to ignore US law.

I am a German Canadian, and proud of it. It shows that I am a Canadian, from a German background. What is wrong with that? I am proud of what my parents have taught me in the culture, and am amazed what they have gone through. I am just glad that my mother never had to see 911.... she lived through a war that was on her soil...as a victim/... which none of you couch potatos have ever witnessed, or any of your ancestors. so the history of what my ancestors, as civilians living through a war and preserving what heritage is left is what I am proud of what I am now. If a culture wants to preserve their heritage (without pushing it on others) GREAT!

Actually, she didn't. She did appoligize to the mayor, but no one else. Unless she did it after 10pm yesterday and I haven't seen it yet.
On the 10pm news (believe it was channel 7) she was asked why she did it.
She said she wanted to draw attention to the hardships faced by the african americans in this country. It wasn't something I planned, I just did it. It was an impulse.

She was asked if she was sorry.
She said no.

She was asked if she would appoligize.
She thought for a second and said "no".
