If the VR goes out does it take the PC with it

I was wondering if the VR goes out if it take the PC 5 with, I have a PC 5 but scared to put it on (cost to much to lose)

VR & ECU Failures w/PCV?

scumdahl, the PCV just piggy backs on to the output side of the ECU, and the ecu failures are on the inlet side where the power comes into the ECU. I have not seen or heard about any PCV failures when the VR fails and melts the ECU.

The way I understand it is that the ecu melts internally and not through to the PCV. After talking to Jim from Dyno Tech he also has not heard of any related failures. If any one on the 4m has seen or heard of this issue happening please chime in? or if you have had a VR & ECU failures and you have a PCV was it effected in anyway?
