Idle Adjustment Pro

Just installed a new Turbo on my 800pro....what's the easiest way to adjust my idle up...now that I shoehorned all my Turbo parts in there... lol thanx

AFR'S 12.5-13.5 bounce.... I think its still too rich, but no way to pull any more fuel with this controller... fresh top end though.. maybe a burn out in the field might find excess fuel in the cases...maybe a little water too

How did this go from adjusting idle to calling a turbo manufacture. There is a stud by the throttle bodies that you can adjust idle with. I'm pretty sure it messes with the TPS at same time so after you adjust idle you have to set tps. Easiest to take to a dealer. Charges 1/2 hr labor. $40 I do mine every summer just to make sure

Much the same why would a guy install a turbo kit and not know how to adjust the idle? AFR, fuel and controllers all come into play.

Pretty basic stuff to ask a guy who just finished installing a turbo kit.

Thanks for the info... I saw the small screw...
To answer the smart A**'s question about installing turbos and asking simple questions... Sorry..I've only installed just short of 20+ turbo's on Cats.. Playing with my first Pro... Sorry for trying to learn... My God!!!

For the rest of you guys trying to help me...Thanks Guys!!

Idle screw is adjusted until you see a certain voltage on the TPS.
Before adjusting the idle setting, you should verify the base TPS setting.

Wasn't being a smart ***, if it came off that way I apologize. Nothing wrong with asking simple questions, Have to start somewhere, right? No clue you've done 20+ turbos, you could've mentioned that.

No harm no foul.

So to answer your question you cannot just turn the idle up on the cfi sleds like you did with the old carb'd sleds. You have to build a TPS tool and set base voltage with throttle bodies completely closed then set idle based off a certain voltage read. When you are done your sled will idle like a champ and run better all the way around! Seen them out of spec after 150 miles!

I just went through TPS adjustment today following this: http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=365125 series of posts.

And here is mine: http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=366361 with some additional details on locating that lt blue or aqua (the shop manual calls it light blue) wire.

If you have a solid 12v DC power supply/brick and quality volt meter you can do this yourself. Or there are affordable 'TPS testers' available on ebay. Don't have a link, but its somewhere around here in the Pro section..
