Idle adjustment affect TPS?

If you adjust your TPS and then fire up the engine and readjust the idle will throw off the initial reading?

yes you need to set the idle then the tps

That makes sense but seems to contridict the repair manual

you can adjust the idle after setting the tps without affecting the settings. make sure the engine is up to operating temp though before adjusting idle.
