Idea's for a trip out west

Looking to do another trip out west this coming winter to ride. I went to Togwotee area last year and did a little bit of riding and it was great. Looking for a new destination this year. Anyone know of a good place to try? Im looking for a place that is mostly off-trail riding because that is all I do. Im looking to rent a a decent mountain sled and have a guide along with a place to stay. It would be a bonus if it was within 3 hours of an airport because I am flying. Thanks

Fly into Bozeman
Island Park
Big Sky
Tog
West Yellowstone
Fly to BC

Flying and renting and 3 hour drive leaves a big hole in the places to ride.

McCall ID exciting off trail

West Yellowstone most visited in the USA by sledders

Cooke ... great off trail

Whistler BC

I would recommend Mammoth Lakes CA and Tahoe BUT renting a (decent mountain)sled may be an issue.

etc.

My vote would be for Island Park. Tons of riding area, different terrain for all riding styles, great rental options and tons of lodging.

Alaska..anchorage ..hit up the local forum and make friends..hit turny, lost lakes, eureka, valdez and many other places.......

There is a place in West Yellowstone that rents an has guides. Everyone that I have talked to the has ridden with them says they are great. I've never used them cuz we know the area. Ill see if I can find the name of the place

Ace Powder Guides in West Yellowstone (800-624-5291). Fly into Bozeman 90 miles to Yellostone. If you stay with them (they have condos and motel rooms) You get a discount on sled rentals. Extemely reasonable. Great Guides and always find snow. There is a reason Yellowstone is the #1 sled destination. You can access all the Island Park areas, Taylors Fork, Cabin, etc. Can't say enough about the fun I've had riding with Jeff, Taylor, and all the folks out there.

If your flying, renting, and hiring a guide every where is probably going to be equally expensive. Make the most of it and go to Whistler BC, from the way it sounds that is the ultimate destination for deep bottomless pow. If I had the opportunity to fly somewhere and rent I would be there in a heart beat.

Island Park or West Yellowstone.

Tons of off trail riding, rental places, restaurants, hotels, dealers and guides. You cannot go wrong.

Check out Ace Powder Guides in West Yellowstone, MT.....

A group of us used Ace Powder guides, it was a so so season but they got the group into some great powder riding.
It was fun to watch my friends from Michigan get stuck trying to follow the guide.
