Ice scratchers or boogy wheels?

Last weekend i bought my first sled at 16 :D, its a 09 600rmk 155. Now I come from a family of short tracks, and i was wondering what would work best for saving the hyfax, either ice scratchers or boogy wheels. I don't really care about weight, either and this is for our one trip that we always do with trails only(hardpack), so i am rather concerned about overheating.

So would 2 more sets of boogy wheels be best or a set of ice scratchers?

and just an fyi i am 5'9 135 and we will easily put on 100+ miles each day

Scratchers.

Scratchers help in more situations than boogy wheels. They add lubrication for your hifax and cooling for your motor. It's amazing to watch your temp gauge drop 20-30 degrees in just a few feet of trail running.

Both!! put a set of wheels on at the front bend of the rails and some scratchers right behind them. The scratchers help with keeping your coolant temps down and lubricating your sliders. Mounting wheels at the bend on your rails will keep your sliders from wearing out in front of the scratchers. My sled has the 163" track and there are holes located in the rails to do this, not sure if the 155" rails are the same? This is what I have done and it works well for me.

Both!

I have all the factory bogie wheels on my sled with a set of scratchers mounted immediately behind the front bogies and my hifax are as good as they were the day I bought the sled over 2,000 miles ago. I am very anal about putting down my scratchers if I even think about running on semi hard snow, it seems to work well for me!:beer;

I would say both if you will be riding trails mainly. They are pretty cheap insurance. $50 for a set of scratchers really helps keep the coolant temps down!!

I would say both , only to protect myself from any liabilities.

But I have run a 174 16 wide 2.5 paddle on a hard ice groomed trail with just scratchers. no boggies at all, I ran it in the upwards of 70-80+ mph for 94 miles that night. I thought for sure I would not have any slides left.

There were no signs of wear on the slides at all. I have never had to change them out unless I break one off in those conditions. But I try and stay off the trail. But don;t mind trail burnin once in a while.
