Ice Scrapers VS Bogie Wheels...

Yeah, I remember that now. I think you had some health issues at the time. Hope all is well.:D

I feel great now, thanks. Everyone over 45 should have their PSA checked.

Here's the picture. I put a chunk of 2x6 on top of my floor jack and put it under the front of the track trying to see if the torque arms would hit and it looks ok. I will see once I ride it. They were fine on my Vertical Escape.

mounted 3 on my each side when you sit on it they flip out pisses me off bent my scratchers with 0 miles now i have to take the middle off any ideas

My experience has been that the scratchers are not for chit for hyfax lubrication in our dry snow in the north country. I have felt sticky hot hyfax almost immediately on both my D8's with scratchers deployed. Not even on real hard conditions.
Had the full set of wheels on my 08, saw the Cat set up, (two outer up front, two inner mid) went with that on my 09. No hyfax heat at anytime with either wheel set up. Weight difference between scratchers and the four wheel set up can't be more than two pounds. No tangling scratchers in brush, no hyfax heat, no substantial weight difference, and as added bonuses, a more free spinning track and less snow build up in the track and rear skid area.

Over 1000 miles on my hifax. There is a little bit of wear but nothing substantial, still look just about brand new. If there is any question about adequate snow I put the scratchers down. Last weekend I jumped on a hardpack trail for just a mile or two and figured I didn't need the scratchers. Almost immediatly I noticed something wasn't feeling right, taking alot more power to accelerate etc... Looked down and my hifax were actually smoking. Hurried up and threw the scratchers down and in a second or two life was good again. Still have hardly any wear on the hifax even after that experience.
