Ice age rails with 9" wheels

I need new rails for my pro. Looking to ice age because they look stronger than stock and way cheaper. They have the option of 8 or 9 inch wheels and I have a set of 9's hanging on the wall and would like to use them for more than decorations:face-icon-small-ton. Are these too big on a stock tunnel? Back of my tunnel is already kinda bent up from the stock rear wheels bottoming out.

In my expereince... running a 9" wheel on a PRO/IQ will cause the track to go slack at over 3/4 of the travel... the larger rear wheel allows the track to lift higher than the top of the upper idler.

IMO... Sell those and go with a good pair of 8"... I really like the new Arctic cat tri-hub wheel... super strong design... and still inside the rails.

stock wheels on ice age rails

Some have posted on running the stock 7.25" wheels on the Iceage rails designed for 8". Here are what they look like as I had to put my stock ones on to get it loaded in the trailer.

They would and do work for some people, I didn't notice them catching while backing up but also had the back of the hyfax angled off real good.

First pic is the stock wheels, second with the 8" wheels.

Also I used Avid 9" wheels I had around the shop, put them on the turning lathe and made them 8" wheels. Worked real good and looks factory.

Those are some funky looking wheels. Couple of questions, are the lugs some how connected to each other & are they made by PPD?
Does Ice Age sell the setup for a Pro?

They are bolted together.

Don't know who PPD is - you can buy these at any AC dealer -about $50 for the two depending on your sales tax rate.

No, Ice Age doesn't sell these idlers. If you want larger than OEM idlers, you will need an offset axle for stock rails or any rails made to use the OEM sized idlers. The rails in my pic are made by IceAge for use with the KMOD suspension and to utilize 8" idlers. Same goes for the rails IceAge makes for Timbersled's Mtn Tamer suspension - 8" idlers.

Thanks guys, those sure look like they could take a beating.
