I wonder if they'll make a 156" Powderclaw?

if all tunnel were wider a 153x16 PC would be unreal!!! or better yet 153x16x2.4 (2.4 gives a bit for room for clearance!!!)

now thats my dream track!!!

Yeah, it'd make an easy to manouvre sled hard to flip around, that'd be GREAT!!! ....16 wide tracks are overrated unless you're running a point-and-shoot sled.

Its not a doo, your talking about 1/2" on each side, it would make less diff than going from a 4 wheel to a 2 wheel at the rear. Maybe some people aren't used to throwing around much more than half an inch.:D

156 I do not think they will mainly we do not have a 156 Track Machine.

You might see a 2.5 as a accessory in a 153 and 162 but not until economy turns around.

I can't see them making a 2.5 with the 80 duro, I would think it would fold too much.

We compared the 153 PC to the 156 CE a decent amount this year & aside from very stiff snow the PC had the advantage. Add to that the fact that it weighs 9+ lbs more & I can't imagine putting one of those on a sled again.

I think a 156 PC would be a killer track, minor float upgrade without going to the annoying 162, but I doubt we will ever see one.

You are probably right never see one! But if enough of us would buy one, Well? As you all stated a 156" would be the ticket, Still fit on a 153 and 151" series with driver change and a 1" setback. If they had it as an upgrade from a 153 to a 156 x 2.375" x 90 duro. You may have a seller? Are you listening AC!! A 9 lb. savings would be great, Lets just replace the steel clips with 2024-T42 clips, Will save another 2 lbs. Maybe a 165" in the same height would be in order for the 162 replacement? Or maybe they should just switch to a 2.86" pitch and standardize tracks? Well, At least you will get another paddle on the ground.

I'm glad to see this thread eventually got some traction (pun intended). :face-icon-small-hap

Heat treated aluminum track clips? Now there's an idea!

How much longer would the track have to be (over a 153") to get two more paddles on the ground and still fit inside the tunnel

Frostbite, I have been thinking of making some 2024 track clips, Just don't know the wear characteristics of the alum. vs. steel? Otherwise since we have a heat treat furnace at work the 2024 would be the logical choice to pre bend in annealed cond. and HT and hold on ice in W condition. Crimp them on and let age harden to T42 in about 48hrs. Would be roughly 1/3 of the weight. It can be done, Just gotta do it!
