I was gonna buy some HMK boots but....

I went to the local dealer to buy some Hmk boots and i expected more then i did. I wanted some sledding boots cause i thought my snowboard boots are a little wide on the running boards. As i went down there to look at a size 13boot i realized that there just as wide as my snowboard boots. Yeah they may be a lot stronger on the bottom but why dont they make them with a smaller profile?

That's how they designed them to be just like snowboard boots but not as stiff.

I have these Soloman boots and they are awesome. Super light, gore-tex, and super warm. In -40 weather my feet are toasty.

TB151 you should consider doing yourself and the rest of us a favor and keep your money in the sled industry or at least don't give it to companies like Salomon who would rather see snowmobiling die.

Try a KLIM Adrenaline ... slimmer design. They've been a great boot for me.

X2! I've had both and love my Klim's. I also have a big foot and the Adrenaline boot fits my foot better, than the HMK did. Both are a nice boot, I just personally like the Klim much better. Good luck......

Do you know that for fact or are you just assuming that Salomon is a ski company so they must hate us?

The Klim Adrenaline would definitely be worth looking at. Sounds like the type of boot you want. The HMK's are a nice boot, but very bulky. A large part of this is due to the boot being rated to -50 deg. Probably a little excessive and will cause your feet to sweat like crazy during normal riding temps.

I have been using hmk boots for the last 5 years.. last year i got the new proboa's le.. they are amazing.. way better than the klims that i tried for a couple days.. warm, dry, great support..

Broke one of the boa coilers last year (my fault).. called them up.. had two new ones and the tool to change them in 3 days.. :D.. great customer service IMO

Beaufordt sorry to here that I am sponsered by HMK I have worn his stuff since he was a small company and I have had great great stuff from Kirk.. Give them a call or send a email to his address located on his web site hmkboots.com and I promise you will be taken care of. You can also talk to Lucas. I have been riding for about 24 years and I started in alaska when I was a kid and I have worn all sorts of boots and the HMK boots have been my best boots ever feet never get cold or wet. I am sorry to hear that they did not get back to you but just call Kirk is a very very fair guy and HMK will take care of you. Have any more problems PM or come find me am usally in the californina/nevada area under romper room.

HHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM well I am stumped. Well if you have not heard anything by thurs let me know and I will email them and let them know that I ran into someone on the snowest site that has been trying to get a hold of them. Sounds wierd because I know Kirk on a personal basis and he has always been a WAY stand up guy. The only thing I can suggest is to call and talk to them. Sorry to hear all the problems.

Looks pretty split at this point. I have had the HMK's for 4 years now and love them. They hold up great over the winter. I even wear them to my deer stand and they keep my toes nice and warm.
