I want to disable my top speed governor on my gmc pickup

what is the cheapest and easiest way to do this. it cuts out at 97mph and it makes me mad. 2012 gmc Sierra Crew. Thank U

Have you looked around at the programers or tuners? Check there sites. My truck is older than yours but my diablosport tuner allows me to change the top speed limiter. Lots of things have changed over the years, maybe its no longer an option.

I have a bullydog gt tuner on my 11 gasser and I can raise it to whatever I want to.

Make sure your tires are rated for the speed you raise the limiter to.A blowout at speed is no fun!

I recommend Black Bear Performance. I was really happy with Justin's work. With a custom tune you can do more things than a canned programmer.

Custom tunes are sweet. Had a grain field catch fire this year, learned my 2012 duramax hits 120 quick while getting to the disc to put the fire out.

I would also highly recommend blackbear performance, had their tuning in my 2009 GMC, does so much more than just deletes the governor, the way it drives is phenomenal compared to stock. They dont claim much of hp gain, but its all in the tranny tuning. It would surprise you how well it will do against a tuned diesel. Gain a little mpg too, 1-2.

Costs a little more than a canned tuner, and takes a little longer to get set up but totally worth. As soon as warranty is up on this pickup it will have it.

They use efi live with an autocal btw, you get a daily tune and a haul a$$ tune.

Edit- as far as cheapest and easiest goes... I cant help ya there, no idea.
