I got rid of my Duramax back when diesel was aroung $5 a gallon and went with a gasser. It was my 3rd one after putting 100,000 miles each on the first two. Drove by the local truckstop where I always bought my diesel and it was $1.80 a gallon and gas was $1.99.

Yep, don't get too excited. We'll see $4 diesel again this summer.

I just wish I could afford to buy 10,000 gals of it at todays price.

i think your wrong. if fuel goes back up again it will be the final nail in the coffin for the econeomy. all of our reserves are plum full but you don't hear much on that. luckily china and other nations are hit very hard too so the demand is way down nation wide. oh and my dad paid 1.49 for diesel in texas last week

This is one time where I encourage you to think I'm wrong, I hope I am. But they've proven that they don't need an excuse to jack it up. The Government is going to be the first to be the reason with the new taxes they are talking about.

What were the economists saying last summer? "wait until the heating season gets here, then the price will really go up". We had a VERY cold winter here and look at the fuel prices.....

I sure hope I'm wrong..... I like this -$2/gal fuel. :beer;:beer;

I've kinda thought "wow maybe I should have bought a diesel last year" instead of my 8.1L ....

but I still like having no fear that my truck will always start after sitting in a parking lot in the mountains when its' 20 below all day long without any trouble.

What do you need that for? Throw some #1 fuel in it and you can let it sit outside for 4 days at below zero. At least my D-Max will. I've never had a hint of starting troubles. Fires right up at any temperature.
