I think there are only 2 turbos on the planet with lag

There is only one sure way to make sure that you have absolutly no lag. It is a family secret but I will share it with you guys. Please dont tell to many people. If you take 4.8 ounces of blue marble blinker fluid and pour it directly into the turbo's air intake and then port the feeder valve I guarantee that you will never experience any lag what so ever. It is the secret to some of the fastest sleds in the world. I promise.:D

I'm with Phatty. We have come a long way in the past 3 years with lag. I know it can never be eliminated, but most well tuned turbo's today have very very little lag. I know I have lag, but it is hard to notice and I don't think it hinders my riding ability at all.

What I can't deal with and have felt on a lot of turbo's is a dead spot when you grab a hand full of throttle. This is the hardest thing to tune out of a turbo. As long as I have good steady pull and clutch engagement with out any missing or cutting out, I'm good to go until boost really comes on. I won't ride any sled turbo or not if it has a dead spot or chokes out when you really get on it.

I clicked on it to, how come you got +18,000 posts freak, what do you do all day?

Nothing wrong at all having good throttle response and not noticing lag, it makes me happy, the less lag you have the better the response. A sled with no lag would be berserk to ride in a fun kind of dangerous way. It is just misunderstood, some people think if it revs up quick there is zero lag. Sorry it is kind of a peeve probably because most of my stuff is pretty laggy but no dead spots

could you get rid of the lag if you port your turbo by pouring sand into the intake? i read it on the internet also it as to work there doing it on cars

lag can also depend on amount of bandwidth available, or how much its being saturated..
or distance from point a to point b will also effect amount of lag.

i h8 lag, it gets me killed w/o seeing the shooter. :(
hah

My RMK Dragon came stock with absolutely NO turbo lag! It also has boost at idle...when I'm lifting it out of a trench. :D

All you have to do to reduce lag is tilt your head to the left when you punch it. This makes the gauge rotation offset the inertia of the turbine rotator splint and the result is no lag. If you have a digital boost gauge you have to close one eye. You will have to practice a few times to get the coordination down pat.

What if you accidentally tilt right? Super lag?

sooo..what you are saying is you can't ride a sled if it has lag?

I think I've heard someone saying that a cetain turbokit doesn't have lag...I'm not sure, cause I only ride what I think is best...

But...there is lag...

If you are referring to me, You think wrong. Maybe you heard me say that the MCX rear mount kit has less lag then some of the front mounts I have ridden, which is accurate.

No, Freak, I wasn't reffering to you...I know how much(little) lag the MCX has...

But, be careful with what you say about front mounts...they are the best, atleast that's what I've heard...:D

Hey NoSecondChances can get lag in neon green with checkered flags? I would like to add some extra lag to my '96 zrt 600. It already has some but I want to be the guy on the hill with the most lag.

We are currently developing our Stage 2 Lag - this should drastically increase the lag on your 600 - watch for it in the new year. We are also coming out with a Stage 3 Lag - this will be the biggest lag your sled has ever had! PM me for prices and more info.

PS - Freak, even I clicked on the link! just typed it in, then looked at my post and thought - "nahhhh, there can't be......", nope, there wasn't!!! LOL

and this one time at band camp...

i think the term "Nappy headed LAG" is derogatory. Could we please use something else instead?

"Turbocharger Kit uses VATN (variable area turbine nozzles) with ceramic ball bearings and self-contained lubrication to deliver zero turbo-lag technology."

That's like getting a "worry free" checking account.
