I need your help 1m/zr riders!!!

I am currently talking to a hood manufacture to see if they will make the 1m to m-series conversion hood!! I want to know who is interested in the hood and what kinds of things you would like to see out of it.

Make your mountain cat / king cat / zr look like an m-series!!!

Will it be a bolt on hood that utilizes the stock hinge, or will it be a lift off hood? I believe that there's already a company making a lift off style hood for the 1M that looks like a M series hood.

i know theres a company that already makes these not sure if they still do but they use to. they were located somewhere in the northwest thats all i remember

Mountain Fit Hoods makes one. They r located in Spokane, WA I believe. I bought one at the Jackson Hole hillclimb last year. They were $250, I think u can still get one from them. They r not made to becompatable with the hinge, but Billy(the owner) said it has been done by one of his customers. I just put mine on with 6 hold down straps. They r made of polycarbonate and fit rather well. I've bought two other 1M hoods from them and they required extensive triming. There website is www.mountainfithoods.net
Hope this helps.

Mountain Fit offers one. It does not use stock hinge, lifts on and off....

Ever heard of the saying, "a day late and a dollar short??":D Although Mountain Fit has been a pain to get a hold of and deal with, so a new manufacturer could be good!! BR Tech doing it?? I would be interested in a Thrasher version of the 1M to M.

Ditto dude. Love my Thrasher, it'd be pimp in a F-Cat to 1M version. I don't really care for the M-Series version as it's too flat, not enough lines for me. But I'd still buy it if it hinged.

im not sure if mountain fit hoods still makes them or not but i talked to the owner of brtech and he said that they are poor quality. i asked him if he would consider making these hoods. He said if he could sell 100 then it would be worth it. what do you guys think??? i also said to him that it would need mounts for the headlights and hood hinge. so if it had all that for 350-400$ would it be a good buy? maybe make it in black, white, green, and orange! plus the options are available for all the hood vent kits!

Based on what you want from the hood and the price + volume requirements I'll just say it isn't going to happen. And don't trust BRtech's opinion of his direct competitors quality. He came up with the cheap Thrasher hood to compete with Mountain Fit, because their products were nice quality for a cheaper price than his Poly hoods.

i bought 1 from mountain fit, as soon as i got it we pulled a mold off it, now i have it in fiberglass any color, will take hinge and stock head lights.it does not bend like the poly. but the hinge and headlight was the biggest improvement. can make them in any thickness i want. from supper thin to bullet proof, i got some kelar from a buddy for the thin 1 very light.

Well its good to hear all this information about these people! i just checked and mountain fit does make this hood still. 300$ shipped or 255$ shipped with grey hound. is the mountain fit hood worth buying? i want to add projector fog lights for headlights and use HID bulbs! also try to make the hinge work

hood

mine was only two weeks old and it cracked near the handle bar post, if you buy 1 you will need to trim it mine did not fit well i had to take atlest a inch off all the way around

if you could round up 5-7 people that want one, we would consider making them at c3 powersports out of carbon fibre or fibreglass.
