I Need some computer help!

First off, I'm lucky if I can find the on switch to my computer and that is about the extent of my knowledge of them. Anyway, I can't get the post on here to fit my screen. I have to scroll across the page to read the post. I tried clicking on my little magnifier and it says I'm at 100%, I tried 75% and that was way too small. How do I set up my page size? It used to fit, then a few of the post would not, now nothing fits. It's a windows XP home program. Any help would be appreciated.

your screen resolution (size) is probably set too low

right click on the desktop background and select the "Properties" option

It should bring up a dialog box with 5 tabs across the top.

select the last tab "Settings".

there is a slide bar section with the title "Screen resolution" yours is probably set to 600 by 800 or something. Try sliding it to the right so you get a number like 1280 by 1024 or whatever looks best to you.

Keep in mind you can still increase font size as mafesto suggested!

Thanks guys, I have it set so I can read the whole text now, but I still don't have it right. I tried the settings thing and everything got kind of messed up. It would just go to settings like 1280 x 800 nothing really fit right. It moved it around on the boarders but still messed up. I tried the ctrl key and mouse scroll, now it all fits and is set at 90%. Trouble is now the printing is not even and quite light, I can't get it back to the way it was. You can see by my typing how the letter spaces are messed up.

I have to edit this, when I entered the post it came up clear, as I'm typing it the letter spacing is all over the place.

Jim, is it just this site or all internet pages? If you are using Internet explorer look up at your menu bar. You will see file, edit, view...... click on view and go down to text size. Make sure it is at medium or play with it until you like it. Also under the view menu - move your mouse down to Encoding and see if Western European(ISO) is selected. If not select that. Those are two common issues with pages not looking right.
