I need a muffler for my truck

I just put an electric cut out on my pickup. Love it so far. I can have loud exhaust when I want that sounds really good or factory exhaust for when I sneak home late just by a push of a button.

But which Flowmaster?

I have a series 50 on my 96 GMC reg cab K2500. The stock system is 3" dual all the way into a single muffler, with a single outlet. It's a little too quiet imo, but the series 40 needed some extra packing (forgot the exact name) to quiet the cab noise on my buddy's Tundra.

go into auto zone and pick up some cherry bombs for like $13 a peice they sound great and are easy to install:beer;

Your joking about the sound right? If your going that route why not just cut the muffler off and weld in a straight pipe. The guy down the street has those on his beater 70's chevy and it sounds like he has a $13 muffler on his truck.

I would NOT get a flowmaster 40- mine was a DRONEmaster at 1700rpm. Yep, the hangers were good and nothing was touching the frame, but it would drive you out of the cab with the drone.

Brother got a magnaflow- worked good. buddy also liked his gibson out the side kit; it sounds INCREDIBLE!!
